An exciting new role has opened up within our Business Unit - Gas in the APAC region - the Technical Supervisor, APAC & MEI is an integral role within the business unit and will assist in the control and management of M&R and technical activities in the APAC and Middle East, India region. Key Responsibilities Technical Support for M&R and Depot Activities in South & South East Asia & East Asia
Working in conjunction with Regional M&R Manager and Global Technical Supervisor Gas in the co-ordination and control of gas tank container repairs, re-tests & maintenance
Checking and verifications of third-party depot repair estimates
Control of third-party depot capabilities and facilities and turnaround times
Follow up on repair quality based on agreed SLAs
Administration in our TMS system around the gas tanks
Performing emergency response role for Gas tank containers
Assisting with trans-shipment of tank containers as required
Assisting with the control of damage surveys as required
Control of tank container modifications as required
Support for Tank Cleaning and SHEQ Activities
Supporting audit program (SLA) for approved degassing stations, repair depots and trucking suppliers
Delivering spot checks with approved suppliers
Support in the control and verification of additional cleaning costs
Periodic review of cleaning procedures for difficult products
Commercial & Business Development Function
Providing technical support as required to Gas Business Development teams
Providing technical support as required to the Gas commercial team developing technical solutions in consultation with customer
Managing the delivery of customer required tank modification / preps prior to loading
Assisting in the development of new equipment working to customer specifications
Installing equipment at customer sites for undertaking trial discharges and loadings
Training of customer operational staff in accordance with Den Hartogh operational procedures
Essential Job Requirements
Minimum tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering will be advantageous
Minimum 5 years\' experience in gas tank container maintenance
Good understanding of dangerous goods transport regulations including IMDG
Experience in sourcing, supplier control, assessing and auditing will be a plus
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision while being a strong team player
Candidate should be able to travel internationally as and when required
Fluent in English, both verbal and written aspects
