Job Summary:
The Sales Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities within the precision fabrication and manufacturing sector. This role requires a strong understanding of Manufacturing Processes, Machining Processes, Technical specifications, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, results-oriented professional with a proven track record of success in technical sales.
Responsibilities:
Business Development:
o Identify and target potential clients in relevant industries (e.g., oil & gas, aerospace, automotive, and industrial equipment).
o Generate leads through cold calling, networking, industry events, and online research.
o Quality leads and assesses their needs and requirements.
o Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets.
Client Relationship Management:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
o Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions that meet their specific requirements.
o Act as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
o Conduct regular client visits and presentations.
Technical Sales:
o Develop a deep understanding of the company's manufacturing capabilities and processes.
o Prepare and present technical proposals and quotations.
o Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure accurate and feasible solutions.
o Explain technical specifications and manufacturing processes to clients.
o Understand and communicate the value proposition of the company's quality management systems such as ISO9001 or other relevant certifications.
Sales Administration:
o Maintain accurate records of sales activities, leads, and client interactions in CRM system.
o Prepare sales reports and forecasts.
o Track and analyze sales performance against targets.
o Contribute to market research and competitive analysis.
Industry Knowledge:
o Stay up-to-date on industry trends, technologies, and competitive landscape.
o Attend industry events & conferences.
o Continuously improve product and industry knowledge.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
Proven track record of success in technical sales within the precision fabrication or manufacturing industry.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and technical specifications.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of quality management systems is a strong plus.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience selling CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, or related services.
Established network of contacts within relevant industries.
Experience with ERP systems.
