Job Title: Sales & Service Diesel Generator Engineer
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sales & Service Diesel Generator Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for both the sales and technical service of diesel generators, ensuring that our customers receive top-quality products and after-sales support. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, customer-facing sales experience, and a strong understanding of diesel engine systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, including industrial, commercial, and residential clients, to promote diesel generator products and services.
• Generate new business opportunities and drive sales for diesel generators and related equipment.
• Conduct site surveys, provide technical consultations, and recommend the appropriate diesel generator solutions based on customer requirements.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and proposals to potential clients.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to close sales deals.
• Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs set by the company.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and strategies to enhance product awareness and sales growth.
Service Responsibilities:
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues with diesel generators and associated systems.
• Provide technical support for customers during breakdowns or critical issues.
• Advise customers on generator operation, safety, and preventative maintenance procedures.
Key Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent technical certifications.
• Certification in diesel engine servicing or related qualifications is highly preferred.
Technical Skills and Experience:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in sales, service, or technical support for diesel generators and associated equipment.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, electrical components, and generator control panels.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and software.
Sales & Customer Service Experience:
• Proven experience in sales and customer relations, ideally in a technical or industrial environment.
• Strong ability to identify and understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
Additional Skills:
• Proficient in using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other software tools for reporting and service management.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software for generating technical drawings and schematics is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to service issues.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills (English & Arabic)
