Job Description

Job Purpose:To provide management support to the Technical Records compliance, operational and administration sections. Be the focal point to coordinate and assesing resources, address tactical daily issues for remedial action, for the effective management of airworthiness compliance activities.Job Outline:
  • Control activities arising from the regularised briefings to ensure work activities are resourced effectively and overtime is managed efficiently. Act as deputy for the Technical Records Manager during leave and absence periods.
  • Monitor operational, configuration and administration functional requirements and report failures in systems, processes or resources. Recommend changes to improve / eliminate deficiencies and improve efficiencies. Ensure optimum manpower deployment for data, documentation, recording and reporting processes to avoid / minimise operational and maintenance disruptions.
  • Ensure full compliance with Continued Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) requirements, conduct sample audits to ensure quality systems and standards are maintained by arranging resources to complete Airworthiness Review Certificate (ARC), Period Compliance Audit (PCA) activities and investigate anomalies and discrepancies. Manage and administer configuration exception and control processes to ensure airworthiness compliance. Support the Technical Records Manager in Non-Compliance (NC) Investigations, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and determination for Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA).
  • Manage, administer and provide guidance to subordinate personnel for all data recording and manual and digital documentation processing activities across the Group. Ensure timely, effective data capture into data systems via digital archiving and delivery of maintenance documentation. Provide guidance to ensure that data and documentation input and retrieval for operational and maintenance activities is completed according to regulatory, quality and efficiency standards.
  • Manage the preparation of reports and compile information to support internal and external customer requirements for on-going aircraft operational, maintenance, modification, airworthiness and ad hoc data. Ensure timely and accurate provision of data and implementing methods and processes that best meet customer demand and departmental capabilities. Also, provide active support to internal departments ensuring compliance with airworthiness requirements and enhancements to maintenance programmes and fleet orientated projects. Deploy resources to support the Technical Records Manager and asset management in preparation of all contractual lease reports, necessary asset and AD compliance reports. Provide direct coordination with lessors / technical representatives during contractual lease on-site airworthiness documentation audits / aircraft inspections.
  • Manage the Airworthiness Directive data records ensuring recording is error free and updated in a timely manner and that all airworthiness directives and mandatory requirements are reported such that a continual record of aircraft, components and engine fleet status is available.
  • Interface with internal business units to create and deliver proactive beneficial changes to the group and provide coordination for the functional sections. Support internal and external departments by publishing reports and supporting documentation as required to enable accomplishment of ad hoc requests, customer support and standard operating processes. Engage directly with cross departmental management personnel for constructive improvements in co-dependant operational processes and ensures that business and airworthiness impacts are eliminated or mitigated. This includes dialogue, decision-making and agreement with both CAR-M and CAR-145 Management.
  • Develop systems, processes, procedures and personnel training / development opportunities to ensure efficient and effective data recording and reporting. To include the development, improvement and implementation of processes to continually optimize and reduce cost overheads through implementation of new technology and procedures to best lever maximum efficiencies whilst providing detailed Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting and continuous improvements ensure effective of LEAN procedures.
  • Manage direct team members to ensure adherence to the time and attendance policy, challenge underperformance & conduct disciplinary interviews for personnel that fail to operate within corporate regulations and policies. Ensure that every designated subordinate team member has a fully developed PM?s, receives at least 1 interim review within a defined PM window & is provided with continual objective feedback to ensure developmental improvements in line with operational business needs & career enhancement opportunities.
  • Assist in the preparation for annual budget proposals for manpower, equipment and material resources. Closely monitor and control the allocated budget to ensure effective utilization of expenses and conduct necessary internal and external recruitment of EK.05 to EK.07 to meet efficient budget expenditure and operational airworthiness compliance.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • 12 Years schooling or equivalent, with 8+ Years of experience
  • Higher National Diploma or equivalent in Aeronautical/Electronics Tech/ Avionics/Mechanical Engineering is preferred with 6 years\' experience
  • Degree in Aeronautical/Electronics Tech/ Avionics/Mechanical Engineering is preferred, with 5 years\' experience Maintenance Planning / Technical Records or other associated Technical Support Organisation with at least 4 years supervising a team.
  • Experience in an Airline or MRO Technical Support Organisation would be an advantage.
Knowledge/skills:
  • Immediate experience in the application and administration of Aircraft Maintenance Records in accordance with Regulatory and Legislation requirements associated with CAMO or CAR/FAR 145 organisation.
  • Fully conversant with Aircraft Documentation and Records including AMM, IPC, Mandatory Airworthiness Documentation, Work Packages and Maintenance Schedules.
  • Understanding of Aircraft / Power Plant Systems and Components.
  • Sound knowledge of computer applications (e.g. MS Office) Detailed knowledge and use of Airline / MRO M and E Data Management.
  • Experience & knowledge working with Digital Documentations Systems is preferred
