Oversee the creation, revision, and distribution of technical publications, manuals, and documents related to aviation/aerospace products, systems, and processes
Develop technical content such as procedures, instructions, diagrams, and illustrations based on engineering specifications, maintenance data, and regulatory requirements
Review and edit technical documents for accuracy, clarity, and consistency, ensuring adherence to style guidelines, terminology standards, and company branding
Format technical publications and documents using desktop publishing software to ensure readability, accessibility, and compliance with publishing standards.
Manage document version control, tracking changes, revisions, and updates throughout the document lifecycle, and maintaining accurate records of document history and distribution
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and customer specifications in the development and publication of technical documents, including FAA regulations, ATA specifications, and MIL standards
Coordinate translation and localization of technical documents into multiple languages, working with translation vendors and linguists to ensure accurate and culturally appropriate translations.
Coordinate the distribution of technical publications to internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities, and maintain an organized archive of published documents for reference
Education & Experience:
Bachelor\'s degree in Technical Writing, English, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
Atlleast 8 years of experience in technical publishing roles, preferably in the aviation/aerospace industry.
Proficiency in desktop publishing software (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word) and document management systems (e.g., SharePoint, Documentum).
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely.
Knowledge of aviation/aerospace terminology, regulations, and standards (e.g., ATA iSpec 2200, S1000D, ASD-STE100) is preferred.
Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
