Assist with all aspects of technical projects, from planning through research, development, implementation, and monitoring, as directed by the Technical Manager.
Produce scheduled and ad-hoc reports and analyses.
Provide technical assistance and advice to vessels as directed.
Help maintain the technical database shared drive.
Liaise with vendors, flag, and class under the close supervision of the Technical Manager.
Coordinate with Ship Managers for monthly MIS updates and technical report filing.
Perform general technical administrative tasks with good time management.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Attend conferences, seminars, and departmental and inter-departmental meetings as required.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Technical Manager.
Provide secretarial services to the Technical Department, including correspondence and documentation with external agencies.
Update, maintain, and distribute the vessel position list weekly.
Assist in creating and maintaining ship inspection reports.
Update and maintain other technical records as required by the Technical Department.
Requirements:
Preferably have previous experience working on ships.
Current staff with strong administrative skills and proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI, will be considered for the role.
A willingness to learn is the most important criterion for this role.
