PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:Technical Office Engineer will be specializing in innovative and sustainable solutions for waterfront infrastructure projects.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare, review, and update construction plans and drawings for marine construction projects.
Perform detailed engineering analyses, including structural, geotechnical, and hydraulic calculations relevant to marine environments.
Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and consultants to ensure the accuracy and feasibility of designs and plans.
Develop project specifications, schedules, and budgets, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers, providing technical support and ensuring all materials and work conform to project specifications.
Utilize CAD software and other engineering tools to create effective design solutions.
Assist in the preparation of tender documents, including bills of quantities and technical proposals.
Monitor project progress against plans, identifying deviations, and recommending corrective actions.
Stay abreast of advancements in marine construction technology and methods, incorporating best practices into project work.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Coastal Engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 8 years experience in the marine construction industry, with a proven track record of successful project involvement.
Strong proficiency in CAD software and engineering design tools.
In-depth understanding of marine construction materials, methods, and equipment.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
