Our newest opportunity is for a talented Technical Manager - Smart Cities to join our award-winning team based in Dubai, UAE.
The role will be responsible for providing key technical expertise and input at different stages of multiple projects to ensure the highest technical quality of delivery within specific discipline and should be a recognised specialist in Smart Cities Automation and in particular in Smart Infrastructure and Smart Development.
We envisage success in this role to include: Managing multi-discipline design teams working on infrastructure projects to ensure cost effective, quality, and timely input. Supporting Directors and other Managers in the coordination of business development initiatives. Managing external consultants to ensure cost effective, quality, and timely input. Monitoring the technical quality of KEO Infra projects to ensure that the projects delivered to clients are of the highest technical quality and engineering practice standard. Developing and implementing measures to mitigate project-related financial and business risks, in partnership with Project Managers/Project Directors. Analyzing existing work processes, procedures and systems, identifying opportunities for increased efficiencies cost-effectiveness and service improvements. Preparing, planning and monitoring financial budgets and team resources in order to deliver required project outcomes. Preparing design programs based on detailed work breakdown structures for projects. Preparing cost and time based progress reports for design projects. Preparing and presenting project reports and presentations for internal and external clients. Preparing technical proposals for submission to external parties. Preparing cost estimates for infrastructure design projects. Ensuring the effective functioning of large/complex and/or multidisciplinary teams by using appropriate interpersonal styles to promote team cohesion and collaboration Seeking constant improvement and application of the latest technology and tools with the technical workflow. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in infrastructure engineering, Artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, and Information & Communication Technologies. Qualifications
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, ICT/Network Engineering or other Infrastructure or Smart Cities related major with at least 12 years experience in design.
Registration at MICE or IEng MICE level, or the equivalent thereof, is desirable. Full Membership of an Internationally recognized professional Institution i.e. C. Eng. M.I.C.E. or P.E.) PMP Certification would be advantageous.
You will have a demonstrated experience in preparing a wide range of Highways Engineering Schemes along with the following skills:
1. Excellent knowledge of design, production, construction techniques, procedures, industry codes and standards.2. Strong understanding of appropriate design software and awareness of appropriate project and program management software.3. Knowledge and skills set the benchmark for current developments and trends within specific area of expertise in terms of current local and global industry practices and standards.4. Has proven record of leading Smart Cities projects and engagement of such solutions within infrastructure projects. Have working knowledge of intelligent traffic systems, smart lighting systems, smart CCTV systems, networking and communication protocols between different platforms. 5. Can advise and develop strategies for communication networks with interconnected devices and sensors, monitoring and control systems. Can advise and develop strategies for advanced visualizations, analytics and mobility, both with open protocols and proprietary systems. 6. In-depth knowledge of infrastructure design practices. 7. In-depth Knowledge of networking & ICT.
