Job Description

The Technical Manager/Director will play a key role in managing the technical aspects of our renewable energy projects, with a particular emphasis on energy storage systems (batteries ranging from 10kW to 1MW+). You will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and optimization of these systems, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet all technical specifications. You will also lead efforts in driving innovation within our product and solution offerings, collaborating with a diverse team of engineers, and working closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment on technical goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership : Lead and manage the technical aspects of energy storage and renewable energy projects, from concept through to execution and delivery.
• Battery Systems Management : Oversee the design, development, integration, and operation of battery storage systems, ranging from 10kW to 1MW+.
• Innovation & Improvement : Drive continuous innovation by researching and implementing new technologies, methodologies, and best practices to improve system performance and energy storage solutions.
• Technical Communication : Serve as a key point of contact for technical queries, presenting complex concepts and solutions in a clear, concise, and understandable manner to stakeholders, customers, and team members.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with project managers, engineers, customers, suppliers, and other key stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
• System Optimization & Troubleshooting : Analyze system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to optimize energy storage systems' efficiency and reliability.
• Regulatory Compliance : Ensure all projects comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
• Team Leadership : Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and excellence.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience : At least 5 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on energy storage systems, batteries, or similar technologies.
• Renewable Expertise : Strong understanding and experience with solar/inverter/battery storage systems (preferably ranging from 10kW to 1MW+), including design, installation, and operation.
• Innovation Focus : Desire to drive innovation and the development of new technical solutions in the renewable energy space.
• Communication Skills : Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving Ability : Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the capacity to address and resolve technical challenges efficiently.
• Leadership : Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring technical teams, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Education : A degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Battery Management Systems (BMS) : Experience with Battery Management Systems (BMS) and integration with energy storage systems.
• Energy Management Systems (EMS) : Knowledge of energy management systems and grid integration.
• Certifications : Relevant certifications in renewable energy, project management, or battery technology.
• Software Tools : Familiarity with simulation tools, design software (e.g., AutoCAD, MATLAB, etc.), or energy modeling platforms.
• Regulatory Knowledge : Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations related to renewable energy and battery storage systems.
