Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management:
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise the execution of metal and joinery projects.
• Ensure that all projects are completed within scope, time, cost, and quality constraints.
• Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring that milestones are met and any delays are mitigated.
• Review project plans, design drawings, and specifications to ensure technical feasibility.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve any technical issues.
• Technical Oversight:
• Provide technical guidance and expertise in metal works, joinery, and related construction processes.
• Conduct feasibility studies and propose technical solutions to improve product quality and manufacturing processes.
• Ensure the use of the latest technologies and industry best practices in the metal and joinery operations.
• Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and work methodologies.
• Supervise and train technical teams in the latest industry standards and techniques.
• Team Management:
• Lead a team of engineers, technicians, and other technical staff in the metal section/joinery.
• Provide mentoring, training, and development opportunities to the team members.
• Oversee the performance and productivity of the team, ensuring all tasks are executed effectively and safely.
• Conduct regular performance appraisals and set development goals for team members.
• Quality Control & Safety:
• Ensure compliance with industry safety standards, local regulations, and company policies in all metal and joinery operations.
• Establish and enforce quality control procedures to ensure that all outputs meet required standards.
• Perform regular inspections of equipment, tools, and work areas to ensure they are safe and functioning optimally.
• Implement and maintain an effective reporting system for technical issues, quality deviations, and safety incidents.
• Cost Management:
• Develop and manage budgets for projects and operational activities.
• Monitor costs related to materials, labor, and equipment to ensure that projects remain within budget.
• Propose cost-effective solutions to improve production efficiency without compromising on quality.
• Procurement and Material Management:
• Collaborate with the procurement team to select the best materials for metalworks and joinery.
• Ensure the timely availability of materials and equipment needed for ongoing projects.
• Review material specifications and ensure that all procured items meet technical requirements.
• Client Interaction and Reporting:
• Communicate with clients to understand their requirements, address concerns, and provide technical advice.
• Prepare and present technical reports, progress updates, and project status meetings to senior management and clients.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Educational Background:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related technical field.
• Certifications in metalworking, joinery, or project management (e.g., PMP) would be advantageous.
