Technical Manager
Job Description
• Responsible for overseeing the technical operations of our client's fleet of ships, ensuring their safe and efficient operation.
• Collaborate closely with the operations team, vessel crew, and external service providers to manage maintenance, repairs, and dry-docking activities
• Responsible for managing costs, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and support a team of technical professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the highest standards of technical excellence are maintained.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including ship owners, class societies, and regulatory bodies.
• Strong knowledge of vessel maintenance, repairs, and dry-docking procedures
• Excellent understanding of industry regulations and standards
• Ability to manage costs and budgets effectively
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities
