Job Title: Technical Engineer (Civil Engineering)

Overview:

As a Technical Engineer with a Civil Engineering background, you will be responsible for ensuring the technical aspects of construction projects are executed efficiently and effectively. You will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that project specifications are met and that construction progresses according to plans and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Coordination:

- Assist in the planning and coordination of construction projects from start to finish.

- Review project plans and specifications to ensure feasibility and compliance with regulations.

2. Technical Support:

- Provide technical support to project managers, architects, and contractors.

- Resolve technical issues that arise during construction.

3. Quality Control:

- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.

- Conduct quality inspections and testing as required.

4. Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, schedules, and progress reports.

- Prepare technical reports and documentation for stakeholders and regulatory authorities.

5. Budget and Resource Management:

- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of project budgets.

- Coordinate resources and materials to ensure efficient project execution.

6. Safety and Compliance:

- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on construction sites.

- Implement and enforce safety protocols and standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

- Proven experience in technical engineering roles within the construction industry.

- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.

- Proficiency in CAD software and other technical tools.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Additional Requirements:

- Professional Engineer (PE) license or certification (depending on jurisdiction and project requirements).

- Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP) is advantageous.

- Familiarity with sustainable construction practices is a plus.
