Job Title: Technical Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Engineer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural shop drawings, bar bending schedules (BBS), and material submittals. The Technical Engineer will work closely with project managers, site engineers, and consultants to ensure the successful execution of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Structural Shop Drawings:

Prepare and review detailed structural shop drawings in accordance with project specifications and standards.

Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy and compliance with design requirements.

Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues in the drawings.

Bar Bending Schedules (BBS):

Develop and review BBS for various structural elements.

Ensure that BBS is accurate, optimized, and in line with project specifications.

Coordinate with the site team to ensure the correct implementation of BBS on-site.

Material Submittals:

Prepare and submit material submittals for approval by the consultant.

Ensure that all materials meet project specifications and standards.

Maintain records of all submittals and approvals for future reference.

Project Coordination:

Collaborate with project managers and site engineers to ensure the timely and efficient execution of construction activities.

Provide technical support and guidance to the site team as needed.

Attend project meetings and provide updates on technical issues and progress.

Quality Assurance:

Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.

Conduct inspections and tests to verify the quality of materials and workmanship.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain comprehensive documentation of all technical activities, including drawings, submittals, and approvals.

Prepare regular reports on technical issues and project progress.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

Minimum of [3] years of experience in UAE.

Strong knowledge of structural shop drawings, BBS, and material submittals.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software.

Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience working with consultants

Knowledge of construction industry standards and best practices.
