Lead and supervise all Operations, Safety, Logistics and Maintenance activities within the response base ensuring that all tasks are carried out in a safe and proficient manner.
Ensures that the response capabilities of the base are always maintained to the highest level of readiness (equipment and people) by effectively supervising the day to day tasks of the response team members.
Will proactively coach, motivate and encourage team development to maintain and continuously improve their confidence, skills set and abilities towards a collaborative and coordinated response service.
Key Accountabilities
Supervises the implementation of all Operational, HSE, Logistics and Maintenance, plans, policies and procedures to ensure the highest practicable level of preparedness and readiness.
Ensures that Base and Operational activities are carried out with due regard for Team safety and environmental consideration in line with ADNOC 100 % HSE culture and ADNOC HSE Standards.
Represents the Base Manager as required and instructed.
Actively covers other Team Leader functions as required (Logistics, Safety, Operations and Maintenance).
Trains and develops Oil Spill & HNS Officers and Responders to reach full field capability and potential progression in conjunction with the Training team in Department Management. \xc2\xb7
Supervises the handover meeting between the incoming and off going Duty teams to ensure optimal communications and operations continuity.
Develops and manages the implementation of the base annual Site Specific Protection Plans and further develops predetermined tactical response strategies.
Actively strives to improve response capability through continuous theoretical and practical training exercises.
Monitors the implementation of the daily, weekly, monthly and annual plans, inspections, reports and checklists in accordance with base performance requirements.
Provides advice on technical Operational, Safety, Logistical and Maintenance know-how to the Base Manager to ensure the awareness of and alignment with the corporate requirements as well as Client and international standards.
Allocates the tasks on Officers to ensure that all activities are carried out at a high level.
Minimum Requirements
Diploma, preferably Bachelors Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
At least 6 years of experience in Oil Spill & HNS Response field.
Professional Certifications in OPRC OSR Level 3 or IMO (level 3). ICS 100, 200 & 300; HNS Operational Level; STCW; T-BOSIET; NEBOSH IGC/IOSH
