Monitor and report the energy practices, updates and status to provide with the needed support for the company plants and operations with respect to energy efficiency.
Recommend on energy criteria required for the current equipment or planned projects.
Coordinate the updates on Energy Management with the concerned teams to ensure aligned practices.
Key Accountabilities
Strive for continual energy efficiency improvement at company assets and energy optimization in projects by steering and leading energy efficiency improvement initiatives & measures through energy performance analysis and reporting, conducting energy studies, maintaining energy management system and by ensuring energy optimization in projects through PEO Framework compliance.
Evaluating best available techniques (BAT) for energy efficiency improvement and act as the technical authority in Energy Optimization and Management.
Develop, review and update Company energy policy, energy strategy and align it with ADNOC Group strategies, commitments (like ADNOC Integrated 2030 Strategy and Gas Strategy 2030 etc.) ,Group objectives and targets.
Oversee energy performance improvement in view of mid and long term targets (Year 2020 energy efficiency improvement target and beyond 2020 plan Sustainability Strategy 2030).
Decipher corporate strategy into site specific objectives and targets.
Support on the development of company strategies reliant on energy strategy like Environment, Sustainability and Climate Change strategy plan.
Drive strategic initiatives and studies related to energy to improve energy efficiency and identify potential improvements
Identify, lead and manage energy optimization and energy efficiency improvement studies to identify potential energy performance improvements.
Review & update SOW for energy optimization studies in collaboration with pertinent engineering disciplines and sites
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or any Engineering / Technical Qualification.
Total of 10 years in oil and gas with at least 6 years of experience, including experience in process, environment or chemical-related occupations.
Understanding of energy balances and energy efficiency calculations for various processes.
Awareness of Energy Management Systems and its requirements and standards.
Experience in Petrochemicals, Oil & Gas or similar industries is preferred.
