This platform is central to our strategy of unifying various product areas and providing seamless integration for our users. You will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team, designing and implementing backend-driven solutions, and ensuring the smooth integration of multiple product features. This role that requires both technical expertise and strong collaboration skills, as you will work closely with engineering teams across the company to ensure the successful delivery. The goal of this team is platformisation of overlapping solutions for product teams (BDUI, transaction feed, email templating, payment widget, etc.).What you'll get to do:
Lead a team responsible for the development and maintenance of the Consumer Platform. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, guiding them through both backend and frontend challenges.
Oversee the implementation of Backend Driven Design in the mobile app and other platform components, aiming to streamline design processes and ensure consistency across teams.
Work closely with product teams, mobile developers, and other stakeholders to define product requirements and deliver solutions that meet user needs while maintaining technical excellence.
Manage and contribute to the development of key platform features, including the Transaction Feed and Payment Widget, ensuring they align with the overall product vision and goals.
Lead the design and implementation of system architecture and technical solutions, with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and performance.
Balance technical leadership with operational management, ensuring efficient processes, timely delivery, and alignment with business objectives.
Skills, knowledge and expertise:
Proven experience leading engineering teams, with a focus on backend or platform development. Ability to guide and mentor developers through complex technical challenges.
Experience implementing and driving Backend Driven UI and BDD principles, particularly in mobile and cross-platform applications.
Strong understanding of system design, including architecture, scalability, and performance considerations.
Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineering teams, to deliver successful products.
Nice-to-Have:
Familiarity with platform scaling and dealing with performance challenges.
Previous experience with Transaction Feeds and Payment Widgets.
