:Aldar Education is currently seeking Teacher of English and Drama for Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi commencing in the 2025-2026 Academic Year.Mamoura British Academy is a British curriculum, mixed gender school until Year 9 and a girl's only school from Year 10 onwards. It is located in a state of the art building in the heart of Abu Dhabi. Lesson Planning, Teaching and Learningxc2xb7 Planning and delivering Outstanding teaching and learning, in line with school policy and aligned to the Mamoura Teacher DNA.xc2xb7 Preparing lesson plans by following the curriculum guidelines and accommodating teaching methods.xc2xb7 Ability to teach English and Drama from Year 6 to Year 13.xc2xb7 To plan lessons and sequences of lessons consistently and effectively, in the long, medium and short-term, to meet pupils' individual learning needs.xc2xb7 Creating a climate for learning that is conducive to delivering Outstanding practice.xc2xb7 Motivating students by delivering enjoyable and creative lessons that both challenge pupils and promote critical thinking.xc2xb7 Identifying clear teaching and learning objectives and ensuring student achievement against these.xc2xb7 Setting clear targets for students, building on prior attainment.xc2xb7 Supporting SEN (POD), EAL and G&T students and ensuring that their needs are met through differentiation.xc2xb7 Delivering high quality lessons and learning activities that maintain pace, challenge and engagement.xc2xb7 Making effective use of assessment for learning.xc2xb7 Making effective use of performance data and key indicators to inform next steps in students learning.xc2xb7 Making effective use of learning technologies to enhance learning and progress.xc2xb7 Maintaining high standards of behaviour whilst motivating pupils and facilitating their development to meet targets in accordance with the school's Behaviour for Learning Policy.xc2xb7 Promoting the effective use of technology, digital software and data systems and a strong awareness of digital learning technologies under the direction of the Line Manager/HOD, in accordance with the National Curriculum and using appropriate syllabus, materials and schemes of work.B. Assessment, Recording, and Reportingxc2xb7 Demonstrating consistently and effectively the use of data relating to student's prior attainment to set well-grounded expectations/targets for pupils, monitor their progress and to give clear and constructive feedback.xc2xb7 Assessing student's achievement against learning objectives and use this information to improve specific aspects of teaching and learning.xc2xb7 Marking students work in accordance with the school marking policy, set targets for progress in accordance with the outcomes and providing feedback of students' progress as required to facilitate positive student's development and academic progress.xc2xb7 Assess and record student's progress systematically and keep records.xc2xb7 Use performance data to inform planning, students learning and progress.xc2xb7 Undertake assessment of students as requested by examinations bodies, department, and school procedures.xc2xb7 Prepare and present informative reports to parents.C. Curriculum Developmentxc2xb7 Participate in subject specific development by producing, reviewing, and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work.xc2xb7 To ensure that personal subject knowledge is up to date through CPD and professional reading.xc2xb7 To ensure personal continued professional development within the applicable curriculum.D. Other Duties and Responsibilitiesxc2xb7 Contribute to the school's ECA Programme by leading at least one after-school activity once a week for the academic year.xc2xb7 Attend and support parent/student events.xc2xb7 Undertake duties as part of the staff duty rotas in accordance with school policies.xc2xb7 Work with the CARTS department to produce our annual show and other events, including some weekend rehearsals and performances.xc2xb7 Attend all requisite meetings and contribute where applicable to Study Support Plans, SEN meetings and provide any information that may be required for individual pupils.Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:xc2xb7 Bachelor Degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.Minimum Experience:xc2xb7 Minimum 2 years Teaching experience in English National Curriculum.Job Specific Knowledge & Skillsxc2xb7 Outstanding teacherxc2xb7 Teaching across ability range with proven successxc2xb7 Experience of working in more than one International Schoolxc2xb7 Experience of teaching UK Curriculumsxc2xb7 Strong Inter-personal skillsxc2xb7 Knowledge of UAE Ministry of Education and ADEK regulations preferablexc2xb7 Commitment to the school's vision, strategic intentions and USP'sxc2xb7 Passion for education, teaching, and a belief in the potential of every studentxc2xb7 Ability to work under pressure, problem-solve, deal with challenging situations and be resilientxc2xb7 Commitment to continuing professional development (CPD)
