• Assess organizational needs, develop aligned HR solutions, and implement strategies in the areas of employee relations, compensation and benefits, recognition, HR administration, health and safety and colleague wellness.
• Overseeing the day-to-day administration of the Human Resources office, focusing on maximizing the capabilities of the team by reviewing the coordination of initiatives and activities and providing regular coaching and performance development opportunities.
• Advise and assist with the interpretation and consistent application of HR policies and procedures, applicable legislation and UAE Labor Law.
• Ensure that the hotel is compliant with all HR standards found in Fairmont HR Audit
• Be a role model within the hotel and exhibit and practice professional leadership skills that are fully aligned and in support of The Fairmont culture.
• Counsel and coach on job related issues, career development, performance management and conflict resolution.
• Foster and promote positive Colleague relations through an environment that encourages open communication, trust, mutual respect and fun.
• Assist Department Heads and Senior Managers with the development of specific action plans to address issues and concerns identified in annual Colleagues Engagement Survey.
• Ensure a strong Health and Safety culture, directing and overseeing workplace safety programs to ensure regulation compliance, employee awareness and an accident free workplace.
• Organizing employee social and celebratory events, with the assistance of the Service Plus Committee.
• Directing, coordinating and implementing hotel and employee training programs to promote exceptional guest service experiences.
• Oversee the Housing facilities along with the Colleague Services Manager, Medical operations with the Hotel Nurse and Training administration along with the HR & Training Executive.
• Follow departmental policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
