Job Overview :
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for attracting, sourcing, and hiring top talent for our engineering and construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of the technical requirements for various engineering and construction roles and the ability to engage with candidates effectively to meet organizational hiring needs.
Key Responsibilities :
• Recruitment Strategy : Develop and execute targeted recruitment strategies to attract top engineering and construction talent, including job postings, talent mapping, and sourcing on various platforms (job boards, social media, LinkedIn, etc.).
• Sourcing and Screening : Source candidates through multiple channels, screen resumes, conduct interviews, and assess candidate qualifications and fit for specific engineering and construction roles.
• Collaboration with Hiring Managers : Work closely with engineering and construction department heads to understand project requirements, roles, and staffing needs, ensuring alignment on job descriptions and candidate profiles.
• Candidate Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates throughout the hiring process, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
• Job Postings and s : Write and manage job postings, create compelling job descriptions for engineering and construction roles, and ensure consistency across all recruitment communications.
• Offer Negotiations and Onboarding : Assist with offer negotiations, extending offers to candidates, and guiding them through the onboarding process.
• Market Research : Stay updated on market trends, salary benchmarks, and talent availability within the engineering and construction sectors to guide effective recruiting strategies.
• Diversity and Inclusion : Promote diversity and inclusion by ensuring a diverse pool of candidates is considered for all roles.
• Reporting and Metrics : Track key recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and quality of hire, and report results to leadership to assess and improve recruitment efforts.
Qualifications :
• Masters/bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in recruitment, with a focus on engineering, construction, or technical recruitment.
• In-depth knowledge of the engineering and construction industries, including familiarity with key roles such as civil engineers, project managers, site supervisors, and skilled trades.
• Proven experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and various recruiting platforms (LinkedIn, job boards, etc.).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with candidates at all levels.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple recruitment projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with recruitment marketing strategies, including employer branding and candidate experience best practices.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
Preferred Qualifications :
• Experience in recruiting for specific engineering disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, facility management etc.) or construction management roles.
• Knowledge of construction safety regulations, certifications, and specific hiring requirements in the industry.
• Professional certification in HR or recruitment (e.g., SHRM-CP, AIRS certifications).
