Job Summary:

The Tailor Master - Cutting Specialist will be responsible for precisely cutting fabric according to patterns, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and the highest standard of workmanship. This role requires extensive knowledge of tailoring techniques, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work with various types of fabrics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately cut fabric according to patterns, ensuring precision and adherence to design specifications.
• Collaborate with designers and tailors to understand garment requirements and interpret patterns.
• Measure, mark, and cut fabric using traditional and modern cutting tools.
• Ensure efficient use of fabric to minimize waste.
• Supervise and train junior tailors and cutting staff, ensuring adherence to company standards and best practices.
• Maintain and troubleshoot cutting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Work with various fabrics, including delicate and high-value materials, ensuring care and precision.
• Ensure all cut pieces are labeled and organized for assembly.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest cutting techniques and tailoring trends.
• Assist in the development and improvement of cutting processes and techniques.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Tailor Master or Cutting Specialist in a high-end tailoring or fashion environment.
• Expert knowledge of fabric properties and cutting techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Ability to read and interpret patterns accurately.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with cutting equipment and tools.
• Knowledge of garment construction and tailoring techniques.
