Tailor / Furniture Upholstery
Job Description
As a Tailor specializing in furniture upholstery, you will be responsible for creating, altering, and repairing upholstered furniture. You will work closely with designers and other team members to ensure each piece meets our high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Measure, cut, and sew fabric for furniture upholstery.
Upholster furniture pieces according to design specifications.
Alter and repair upholstered furniture as needed.
Collaborate with designers to select appropriate fabrics and materials.
Ensure all upholstered pieces meet quality standards.
Maintain upholstery tools and equipment in good working condition.
Keep up-to-date with upholstery trends and techniques.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Tailor or Upholsterer in a furniture manufacturing setting. Expertise in measuring, cutting, and sewing fabric for upholstery.
Strong attention to detail and precision. Ability to read and interpret design specifications.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of different fabrics and materials used in upholstery. Strong communication skills.
