  • Field Surveys:
  • Conduct land surveys to establish property boundaries and topographical details.
  • Use surveying instruments and technology such as GPS, total stations, and drones.
  • Collect data for construction projects, land development, and mapping.
  • Data Analysis and Mapping:
  • Analyze survey data to produce accurate maps, charts, and reports.
  • Utilize CAD software and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for data representation.
  • Prepare legal descriptions of surveyed areas.
  • Boundary Establishment:
  • Determine and mark property boundaries based on legal documents and historical data.
  • Resolve boundary disputes and provide expert testimony in legal settings.
  • Work with legal professionals to prepare and review survey documents.
  • Construction Support:
  • Provide precise measurements for construction projects, ensuring structures are built according to design specifications.
  • Monitor construction progress and verify accuracy of site layouts.
  • Assist in the preparation of site plans and construction blueprints.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure all surveys comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Stay updated with changes in surveying laws and standards.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all surveys and related documentation.
  • Project Management:
  • Plan and oversee survey projects, including budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present project reports and documentation.
  • Equipment Maintenance:
  • Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Keep up-to-date with advancements in surveying technology and tools.
Required Qualifications:
  • Education:
  • Bachelors degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certification or licensure (e.g., Professional Land Surveyor, PLS) is preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Proven experience in land surveying and mapping.
  • Familiarity with modern surveying equipment and technology.
