Position Title: Surveillance Officer

Job Summary
The Surveillance Officer is responsible for monitoring and ensuring the safety and security of the organization's premises, personnel, and assets. This role requires vigilance, attention to detail, and the ability to respond promptly and appropriately to incidents while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitoring Activities:
• Operate and monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to observe and record activities within the premises.
• Identify unusual or suspicious behavior and potential security threats.
• Incident Reporting:
• Document incidents in detailed reports and escalate to relevant authorities or management.
• Maintain accurate records of all activities observed through surveillance.
• Compliance and Protocols:
• Ensure adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and applicable laws.
• Support in enforcing access control policies to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Collaboration:
• Coordinate with security personnel and management to investigate and resolve incidents.
• Assist law enforcement or internal investigations with video footage and reports as required.
• System Maintenance:
• Conduct routine checks to ensure surveillance equipment is functioning optimally.
• Report technical issues to the IT or maintenance team for timely resolution.
• Confidentiality:
• Handle all surveillance-related information with strict confidentiality.
• Protect the privacy and integrity of individuals and the organization.
• Emergency Response:
• Respond promptly to alarms or alerts and provide real-time information to on-ground security teams.
• Assist in evacuations or other emergency situations as directed.
Qualifications
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Prior experience in surveillance, security, or a related field is preferred.
• Skills:
• Proficient in using CCTV systems and other monitoring tools.
• Strong observation and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions.
Work Environment
• Primarily office-based, monitoring surveillance systems in a control room.
• May require extended hours, night shifts, or weekend work.
