Job Overview TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.
Planning Area Tasks
Proficiently and accurately prepares, analyzes and issues detailed production schedules: Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders. Follows up as required with all teams (Engineering, Production, Quality, ...) to manage and expedite production to meet customer expectation. Schedule the supply of materials/components to meet production requirements and minimum safety stock levels Plans, develops, implements and evaluates processes for material delivery from supplier to point of fit Day to day order management and management of deliveries Develops and maintains good relationships with suppliers and ensure demand for materials is met and deliveries made on time Takes follow up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production or Customers Request dates and Allocate demand in case of bottleneck situation Monitor forecast, load and capacity situation along supply chain (tools, machines) and generate capacity plan
Improve SC Performance Reviews and optimizes master data and parameter settings along supply chain (SAP) Monitors SC KPIs against agreed target levels Optimize Inventory levels, by keeping a close monitoring for the different Phases of the projects (Phase in, Phase out, ..) Leading and maintaining SC Configuration (cross department activities, value stream analyses, master data clean up) Drive diverse projects to improve SC performance Adheres to the safety and quality standards (goals and metrics) of the organization while working within a team environment.
What your background should look like:
Educational Degree: University degree or equivalent education Bachelor or master's degree in business administration, engineering or equivalent Professional Experience: Considerable experience in Production planning or Materials management in a plant or manufacturing environment Proven track record of supply chain improvements and related performance improvement results (e.g. inventory optimization, lot size optimization) Working experience with supply chain planning systems and ERP systems (e.g. SAP) Experience in the Automotive Sector within a global organization is an advantage. Special Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills: . Knowledge in supply chain or master planning and ERP systems (e.g. SAP) . Strong IT systems knowledge and skills including advanced Excel skills . Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills . Results orientated and organized with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines Strong communication skills, able to give direction in cross-functional environment, able to motivate and support colleagues in other functional areas . Fluent in English both written and spoken
