The Supplier Relations Executive will be responsible for maintaining and strengthening relationships with our suppliers and vendors while actively seeking out new opportunities to expand our network. This role requires a proactive individual who can negotiate favorable terms, ensure timely deliveries, and contribute to the overall supply chain efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of the gifting industry and a passion for building partnerships that align with our company's values and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain Supplier Relationships:
Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing suppliers and vendors. Act as the primary point of contact for all supplier-related inquiries and issues.
Vendor Sourcing:
Identify and evaluate potential new vendors that align with our product offerings and quality standards. Conduct market research to find the best suppliers for our unique gifting items.
Negotiation:
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with suppliers to ensure the best possible deals for the company while maintaining quality and reliability.
Order Management:
Oversee the procurement process, from placing orders to ensuring timely delivery. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to delays, quality, or non-compliance.
Quality Assurance:
Work closely with suppliers to ensure all products meet our quality standards. Coordinate with the quality control team to resolve any discrepancies.
Cost Optimization:
Identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising on quality. Regularly review and analyze supplier pricing and market trends to ensure competitiveness.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure all supplier agreements and transactions comply with legal and company policies. Maintain accurate records of supplier contracts, performance evaluations, and communications.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the product development, logistics, and sales teams to ensure seamless integration of new products and suppliers into our operations.
Continuous Improvement:
Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance supplier relationship management and overall supply chain efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in supplier or vendor management, preferably in the gifting or related industry.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse suppliers.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
Proficiency in using supplier management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of the gifting industry and current market trends is a plus.
