Job Description

LAHAB DEFENCE SYSTEMS manufactures medium and large calibre munitions. We are in the industry with over 25 years of experience in leading defence & security organizations. LAHAB is committed to modernising the entire munitions value chain with its 25+ years of knowledge and experience. We support major defence and security organisations, law enforcement agencies, and sports clients, supplying them with reliable and safe munitions and services.Key Responsibilities:Responsible for managing the activities related to quality assurance, which covers supplier management, continuous improvement, product improvement.
Design and implement supplier quality plans. standards, quality engineering and control capability, testing procedures, and methods for risk reduction of supplied materials, components or documentation, in line with the stated requirements
Perform detailed review and provide feedback of 2-D drawings, 3D models, electrical/electronic schematics and software code (as applicable to areas of competency) during the design lifecycle of supplied product
Ensure that supplier improvement plans are in place as required and are based upon sound data, and ensure plans are executed as intended.
Carry out supplier maturity assessments and propose development/improvement plans as part of the timely published report.
Contribute in Supplier Performance Management (SPM) including preventive and corrective action management, and rating of suppliers in conjunction with Supply Chain
Carry out periodic data analysis on allocated suppliers in a methodical manner to identify and mitigate potential risks to the business.
Take part in MRB (Material Review Board) to advise on necessary actions associated with supplied parts, and to put forward appropriate solutions that align with any given constraint
Carry out supplier audits in alignment with an agreed and published supplier audit schedule ensuring effective communication, accurate and timely reporting, and agreeing actions with interested parties as required
Ensure First Article Inspections (FAI) are carried out in accordance with stated requirements, supplier reports are approved and feedback provided in full
Ensure that Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) is carried out in accordance with stated requirements, and associated deliverables (e.g. PPAP, PSW, MSA, Cpk, FMEA etc) meet said requirements and delivery commitments.
Work closely and communicate effectively with key stakeholders on matters affecting business commitments to build and supply Customer-destined product/services, including regular collaboration with Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering and Programmes to name a few
Carry out Incoming Quality verification, validation, test and processing activities of supplied product, as required by the business from time to time
Ensure that workflows and processes comply with safety regulations and that all documentation is thoroughly completed as per quality guidelinesPreferred Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering with minimum 06 years of experience
6 Sigma green belt
QMS auditor certificationPreferred Experience:3+ years of experience as Supplier Quality Engineer in Defence Industry with regional exposure
Conversant QC methodology, policies, procedures, inspection plans.
Good verbal and written communication skills in EnglishOperating Environment:Must be able to travel
Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time
Must be able to deal with work-related deadlines, accountabilities and responsibilities
Must be able to work under frequent job pressure generated by short and inflexible deadlines
