Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:Manage logistics support operations at offshore islands to support drilling activities. Key person for attending end user requests while managing companys assets and manpower offshore, including the contractor and technical partner management.Key responsibility for Provide expertise, Knowledge & Experience to ensure logistics operations/ within Islands & project site is conducted safely & in accordance with ADNOC policy & procedures. Establish interface relationship with Drilling operation to assure their logistical requirements are fulfilled in efficient manner and meeting contractually established KPIs. Accountable in direction of investigation, analysis and corrective actions and recommendations for any Drilling NPTs accounted to logistics.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Ensure efficient conduct of Offshore Logistics activities operations to support 24/7 Logistics requirements and prevent disruptions to overall supply chain operations.
  • Plans and directs various HSE campaigns for Logistics departments (i.e. heat stress, lifting, PTW, clean-up day, safety audit etc. ensuring adherence to ADNOCs pillar of HSE.
  • Work in line with HSE Policy, ensure awareness and compliance of HSE rules & regulations by subordinates.
  • Safety coverage in normal and emergency situations (ERP); Risk assessment and management of Logistics Services.
  • Lead Internal audit to comply with company policies and practices Plans and leads the supply chain logistics, and inter-field material movements for Island
  • Develop Offshore Logistics operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, and infield shipping.
  • Assure meeting of day-to-day operation requirements related to passenger transportation bookings
  • Manage and assign companys assets and people by assigning roles and responsibilities and overseeing the effective execution of assigned duties to meet companys responsibilities.
  • Supervise daily activities of the site, including logistics support, material handling, infield shipping and accommodation services.
  • Oversee the scheduled and work conducted by Logistics Contractor, while managing the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency.
  • Participate and lead in Toolbox talk, PTW etc.
  • Train and develop team members to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short and long-term performance goals.
  • Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed.
  • Meet regularly with supervisors and site engineers to review, analyse, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention.
  • Support Marine traffic Management in the field and take Island harbor utilization and priority.
  • Ensure Waste management protocols are followed on island in coordination with Logistic and drilling Contractors.
  • Ensure the Level 2 performance KPIs associated to site logistics are fully acquainted and cascaded amongst the logistics team at site. Deliver accurate performance reports to senior management.
  • Aim to achieve operation excellence, i.e. Sustain and exceed performance on KPI Target.
  • Support fostering Safe and faster turnaround of vessels calling site operations.
  • Review contractor invoices and service orders/call of orders created for site logistics requirement required to support operations.
  • Explore new methods and areas for cost optimization and logistics efficiency through revisiting mode of operations etc. Introduce new technology, evaluated and adopted appropriately in consultation with other stakeholders.
Operational Plans
  • Contribute consistent and realistic long- and short-term operational plans for the Department in line with the Division objectives and manage the implementation of the approved long- and short-term plans and ensure they are effectively converted into its performance objectives to realise the Division Objectives and established service levels.
Budgets and Operational Plans
  • Contribute and support the Department annual budget in line with the Divisions business objectives and operational plans ensuring that adequate funding provision is made for all Department activities.
  • Monitor expenditure against approved Department budget on a regular basis; investigate, highlight, and reconcile any significant variances to ensure effective performance and cost control.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
  • Adhere to appropriate Department policies, processes, systems, standards, procedures and internal controls, Company guidelines to support execution of the Divisions work programs in line with Company and International standards.
Performance Management
  • Contribute to the development of the Divisions KPIs and ensure proper cascade of the Performance objectives within the Department and establish monitoring mechanisms to ensure delivery of these objectives and promote a performance driven culture.
  • Manage the implementation of the Company Performance Management System for individuals within the Department in accordance with Company approved guidelines.
People Development
  • Develop knowledge, competencies and innovative spirit in the Department and support the establishment of Personal Development Plans (PDPs), Succession Planning and Talent pipeline within the Department in coordination with the Human Capital to continuously develop employees with emphasis on UAE Nationals to meet Emiratization targets.
Organisation Structure and Development
  • Review, develop and recommend the appropriate organisation structure for the Department that will best utilise human capital while proactively incorporating sustainability into the on-going work practices to meet the business objectives.
Risk Management
  • Contribute and support establishment of a Corporate Integrated Risk Management System within the Department, while identifying and assessing relevant domain risks and implement measures to manage and mitigate all identified risks within the Department.
  • Communicate corporate business ethics and Companys Code of Conduct to employees within the Department and ensure compliance to the Corporate Policies and guidelines.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
  • Promote an organisation culture that encourages innovation, enhances employee motivation, and supports initiatives for implementation of Change Management to continuously improve the Department operations and services.
  • Recommend improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the Department.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
  • Support the institution and implementation of an HSE culture and ensure compliance with relevant HSE policies, procedures, systems & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines across the Department in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
  • Ensure adequate HSE training and induction for all Department employees to meet HSE standards.
Management Information Systems (MIS) and Reports
  • Ensure that all Department MIS and progress reports are prepared to provide accurate and timely reports and necessary information to Company Management to effectively manage the business.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:Minimum Qualification
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or equivalent professional qualification.
Minimum Experience, Knowledge and Skillsets
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in logistics & warehouse management related to the Offshore Oil & Gas industry, with at least five years at senior supervisory level.
  • In-depth knowledge in relevant Oil & Gas warehouse, tendering, inventory policies and processes in addition to relevant regulations with sound knowledge in Oil & Gas production operations.
  • Proficient in English.
Professional Certifications
  • Certified Warehouse Logistics Professional (CWLP) preferred.
