Job Title: Supervisor - Aviation Procurement
Core Job Responsibilities:
• Manage the team of buyers ensuring high performance and productivity.
• Day to day operations with an emphasis on sourcing actions to the Purchase Requisitions within agreed timeline.
• Sourcing and supply across a wide range of spend categories of aircraft parts, tools, services etc.
• Identify cost saving opportunities that will enhance the profitability of the company.
• Data analysis and reporting including monitoring mechanisms that identifies savings achieved by category and supplier.
• Develop and build relationships with existing suppliers and create relationships with new suppliers.
• Ensure compliance of established purchasing policies and procedures. Conduct ongoing reviews of same and implement continuous improvements where required.
• Approved Supplier Master List- monitor, controls & updates regularly for validity.
• Identifies and researches potential new suppliers
• Supplier Performance monitoring & reporting to management about any trouble suppliers and appropriate action
• Effectively engage with users & stakeholders to seek feedback on sourcing related issues & suggestions for improvements
• Assist HOD in the development and achievement of departmental goals and objectives.
• Consult & work with other HOD on specific initiatives as required and undertake any other assigned duties
• Planning and implementing strategies for procuring goods & services and maintaining stock levels
• Tracking & reporting of procurement performance to HOD
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management
Experience Required:
Minimum 12 years of working experience in Procurement & Supply Chain; comprehensive knowledge in strategic procurement. Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in Aviation procurement & supply chain arena
Competencies:
• Has overall procurement experience/knowledge (e.g., sourcing, negotiating, purchasing, designing & enhancing procurement related SOP etc.)
• Deep knowledge of aviation regulation related to aircraft parts procurement & logistics, storage and quality requirements
• Committed to work and completed tasks within the deadline given.
• High efficiency, energetic, independent, and able to work well in a fast-paced changing environment.
• Possess strong interpersonal, leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Commercially focused and a keen eye for detail with strong analytical & numerical skills.
• High level competence in Microsoft Excel and other office packages.
• UAE Driving License is preferred.
