Overview
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for Logistics personnel in the areas of parts receipts, binning, picking, issuance exports and other warehouse activities. Responsible to store personnel updates & all necessary system transactions at every stage of material movement. Supervise the processing of Repair items
Also will be responsible for:
1. Provides updates on all items received ensuring they are properly inspected according to current policies and procedures
2. Ensures all items received have the proper validation from end user if required prior to binning
3. Ensures all items demanded are issued in a timely manner accompanied with the proper documentation if required
4. Handles the storage by ensuring all items are stored in a proper location with the correct item label and within the standard temperature and humidity (incl. POL)
5. Conducts regular check of expiring items and reports to the concerned parties
6. Makes sure that all system transactions are updated in cMRO Oracle system
7. Conducts a regular Cycle Count or Inventory Checks as per agreed schedule
8. Reports and highlights all discrepancies to the concerned parties
9. Schedules all mandatory trainings, leave and shift schedules ensuring that daily operations are not affected
10. Ensure the Warehouse Team follows all relevant safety, quality and environmental control procedures and instructions so that personal safety and safety of others is not jeopardized and a minimum level of product/service quality and environmental impact can be guaranteed
11. Manages & monitors set Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Turn Around Times (TAT's)
12. Ensures that all Repair items are processed according to current policies and procedures
13. Prepares the Pick-Up and Delivery (PUD) schedule to ensure end user requirements are met in a timely manner
14. Ensures that all identified scrap items are properly processed and all items for dispatch are properly packed and within the current policies and procedures
15. Sets standard for prioritizing & processing of all items that need to be deployment
16. Maintains all items identified for War Reserves
17. Attends meetings as per internal or external requirements
18. Works closely with Inspectors & Storekeepers setting priorities and objectives both long and short term.
19. Assigns, coordinates and directs the work activities of the Warehouse section to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality and promoting safety, plant housekeeping and employee morale.
20. Strategically plans the daily operations workload that needs to be completed in a timely manner.
21. Measures and reports the effectiveness of employee's performance through set KPI goal
22. Recommends policies and programs which guides the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation.
23. Establishes a preventive maintenance to track down lapses and areas of improvements.
24. Addresses safety/audit reviews findings pertaining to violations or hazards
25. Supports and drives a safe working environment and culture.
26. Manages or creates a filing system of all documentations in order to facilitate future referencing and easy accessibility.
27. Facilitates in updating the records and maintain files, both paper and electronic database.
28. Provides feedback to upper management on the resolution of all received complaints to ensure all complaints are handled in a timely and professional manner.
29. Accomplishes and maintains the safety and housekeeping checks in the working areas
30. Maintains an intensive network of internal and external customers.
31. Manages the day-to-day operations of the section to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures.
32. Directs and manage the activities and work of direct reports to ensure that all work within a specific team is completed to the required standards and in line with GAL operating policies and procedures.
33. Ensures direct reports adhere to and support all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls, promoting employee safety, legislative compliance and to promote a responsible environmental attitude.
34. Ensures that accountabilities for the implementation of improvement opportunities are completed within the assigned deadlines.
35. Performs other related duties or assignments as directed

Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in an aerospace maintenance and aircraft operating environment, preferably in military, of which at least 3 years in a similar position in an aviation distribution industry
Knowledge of Purchasing as well as the shipping and receiving process and logistics including what material is hazardous or requires special shipping containers or packaging
