Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Supervising Drainage Engineer** to join our team! In this role you will get to **Lead our drainage engineers & Digital staff teams for timely and efficient production of quality designs** .

**What You'll Be Doing:**

+ Provide technical guidance to Engineers and Designers.

+ Provide supervision on design production for entire projects of complex large scale projects for technical compliance with design objectives and clarity for construction.

+ Develop/Review workflows/Templates to enable efficient repetition of design

+ Apply advanced engineering principles to complex analytical models

+ Review design deliverables.

+ Set/Track team work schedule to ensure adequate and balanced task allocation

+ Track progress of task assignments vs original baseline schedule.

+ Contribute as a productive and efficient team member to meet project deadlines

+ Primary interface with internal (PM's) and external clients on all matters relating to work assignments for one engineering discipline.

+ Mentor staff on technical aspects including the potential to conduct on-site training of personnel.

**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**

+ Bachelor's Degree (Master Degree or higher preferred) in Civil Engineering

+ 12+ years related experience

+ Professional Engineer registration may be required (PE, Peng or CEng)

+ Perform in a leadership capacity

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with client, management, and project personnel on technical and non-technical subjects.

+ Understands QA/QC standard practices and procedures and guides staff

+ Thorough knowledge of current technology in order to be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on the project. Ability to mentor staff on engineering software applications and processes

+ Approves methods and solutions to be used for complex storm/groundwater network layout design; and network/pump station hydraulic modelling and selecting the most efficient an economical manner to meet objectives.

+ Capable of applying advanced engineering techniques and analyses within a single engineering discipline.

+ Knowledge of industry practices, codes and regulations.

+ Proficiency in utilizing Bentley StormCAD, SewerGEMS, InfoDrainage, Civil 3D and InfoWorks ICM, for design, analysis and production of storm sewer hydraulic models and drawings. InfoWorks 2D Modelling, InfoWorks Model Build Report (MBR) experience.

+ Proficient in non-standard detailing.

+ Develop complex sketches and detailing for plans; and special provisions for specialty elements with reduced oversight

+ Good understanding of preparation of design reports

+ Review/approve design estimates for projects

+ Track hours per task/sheet in design deliverables

+ Support on the preparation of competitive technical and commercial proposals.

+ Assist in the initial LOE necessary to cover all work within the proposed scope with minimal supervision.

+ Ability to review, identify and propose mitigation to risks within proposed scope.

+ Ability to clearly define and provide technical queries to clarify scope ambiguities.

+ Develop work flow process and specify the staff as per project requirements.
