Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide a friendly shopping experience.
- Scan items, process transactions, and handle cash, credit, and debit payments accurately.
- Assist customers with bagging groceries and answer any questions they may have.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including restocking bags and cleaning the conveyor belt.
- Ensure accurate pricing and product information by conducting price checks when necessary.
- Follow all store policies and procedures regarding transactions, returns, and exchanges.
- Monitor the checkout area for potential security risks and report any suspicious behavior to management.
- Provide assistance to other departments as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle repetitive tasks.
