We are seeking a skilled and professional butcher & fishmmonger to join our team. In this role, the candidate will play a vital part in handling meat & fish preparation, ensuring top-notch customer service, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Preparation and Handling:

• Cut, trim and prepare various meats (beef, poultry, and seafood) to Golden Cart standards.
• Create specialty cuts and ready-to-cook products like marinated meats and sausages.
• Clean, gut, fillet, and prepare fish and seafood to customer specifications.
• Ensure proper storage and display of meat products to maintain freshness and quality.

2. Customer Service:

• Assist customers with meat & fish selection and provide cooking and preparation advice.
• Process custom orders promptly and accurately, catering to customer preferences.
• Handle inquiries about products and ensure a friendly shopping experience.

3. Quality Assurance:

• Inspect meat and fish deliveries for quality, ensuring all products meet Golden Cart's premium standard.
• Remove and properly dispose of any expired or substandard products.

4. Hygiene and Safety Compliance:

• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, including cutting tools, machines, and display areas.
• Strictly adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices.
• Use protective gear and follow all health and safety guidelines during operations.

5. Stock and Inventory Management:

• Monitor inventory levels and report restocking needs.
• Assist in receiving, inspecting, and storing meat deliveries.

6. Teamwork and Collaboration:

• Work closely with team members to ensure efficient operations in the meat section.
• Suggest new product ideas and contribute to improving the department's offerings.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience as a butcher & fishmonger in a supermarket, butcher shop, or similar environment.
• Expertise in meat cutting, preparation, and handling tools and equipment.
• Strong knowledge of different types of meat and cuts, including premium products.
• Food safety and hygiene certification (preferred).
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long hours and lift heavy products.
• Comfortable working in cold environments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
