Our new school will have the capacity for 2,600 students upon completion. Its first phase of development, opening in September 2023, will include the Early Years building and sports facilities, while the second phase opening in Summer 2024 will include the main Primary and Secondary classrooms.About the RoleStudent Support Assistants play a crucial role in supporting the inclusion of pupils with additional educational needs in the school community.Student Support Assistants will normally work with an individual student, supporting them to overcome barriers to learning (for example, those with English language difficulties, social, emotional and behavioural difficulties or other academic educational needs).The aim of the role is to help the pupil to learn as effectively as possible both in group and individual situations, inside and outside of the classroom. A minimum of a high school diploma level education
A minimum of 2-years experience working in a similar position
A sound understanding of teaching best practice
High level of fluency in written and spoken English
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students and parents
Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
High level of international and inter-cultural understanding
An understanding of the British curriculum would be advantageous
