As part of our commitment to student well-being, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Student Counselor (Part-Time) to provide professional mental health and guidance services to our diverse student body.
Key Responsibilities
• Student Counseling and Support:
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students to address academic, personal, social, and emotional challenges.
• Offer crisis intervention and timely support for students experiencing acute mental health concerns.
• Assessment and Guidance:
• Conduct needs assessments to identify students requiring psychological or developmental support.
• Develop personalized action plans to assist students in overcoming challenges and achieving personal and academic goals.
• Workshops and Awareness Campaigns:
• Organize workshops and seminars on topics such as stress management, study skills, interpersonal communication, and mental well-being.
• Promote awareness of mental health issues and resources available within and outside the college.
• Confidentiality and Ethics:
• Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with ethical guidelines and UAE regulations.
• Adhere to BAC's policies and procedures for student privacy and well-being.
• Collaboration and Referrals:
• Collaborate with faculty, academic advisors, and administration to support student success.
• Refer students to external mental health professionals or resources when specialized support is needed.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of counseling sessions, assessments, and interventions.
• Provide periodic reports on student engagement and general well-being trends (without breaching confidentiality).
• Program Development:
• Assist in developing and enhancing BAC's student well-being programs to create a positive and nurturing campus environment.
Qualifications and Experience
• Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Experience:
2-3 years of experience in student counseling or mental health services, preferably in an educational setting.
• Certifications:
Certification or licensure as a counselor or psychologist in the UAE or the candidate's home country.
• Skills:
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and crisis management abilities.
• Cultural sensitivity and an understanding of the needs of a diverse student body.
• Languages:
Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: AED22.00 - AED25.00 per hour
