Position Overview: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structured Cable Engineer to join our team. The Structured Cable Engineer will be responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of structured cabling systems (SCS), as well as the coordination and implementation of various other low voltage systems including disabled alarm systems, IP telephone systems, telephone handsets, UPS, and Wi-Fi networks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structured cabling design and installation, as well as expertise in integrating and managing these systems within a corporate environment. Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE. Experience: 2+ Yrs Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design, install, and maintain structured cabling systems (SCS) to support data, voice, and video communications.
- Manage racks and power distribution units (PDU) to ensure efficient organization and operation of network equipment.
- Integrate disabled alarm systems into the overall building infrastructure, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and accessibility standards.
- Configure alarm systems to provide appropriate alerts and notifications in case of emergencies.
- Implement IP telephone systems, including hardware installation, configuration, and integration with existing telecommunication infrastructure.
- Coordinate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of IP telephone systems with other network components.
- Install, configure, and maintain telephone handsets and related equipment.
- Provide end-user support for telephone handset setup, programming, and troubleshooting.
- Deploy and maintain UPS systems to provide backup power and protect critical equipment from power disruptions.
- Ensure UPS systems are properly configured and monitored to provide continuous power supply to essential equipment.
- Coordinate Wi-Fi installations in collaboration with IT teams, ensuring compliance with network security and performance requirements.
- Install and configure Wi-Fi access points according to IT instructions and industry best practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all structured cabling installations, alarm systems configurations, IP telephone setups, UPS deployments, and Wi-Fi installations.
- Generate reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and recommendations for improvements.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on installations to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and safety guidelines for structured cabling and low voltage systems.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in designing, installing, and maintaining structured cabling systems and low voltage systems.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices for structured cabling, alarm systems, IP telephony, UPS, and Wi-Fi.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to low voltage systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Relevant certification would be an advantage.
