Job Title: Structural Foreman

A Structural Foreman supervises and coordinates construction activities related to the erection, installation, and maintenance of structural components such as steel frames, beams, columns, and other materials in building and infrastructure projects. They oversee a team of laborers, welders, and fabricators, ensuring the work is completed safely, on schedule, and according to project specifications. A Structural Foreman must possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of construction safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Supervision:
• Lead and manage a team of workers, including structural fabricators, welders, and laborers.
• Delegate tasks effectively to ensure that project goals are met within deadlines and to the required standards.
• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members to enhance performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand project requirements, scope, and timelines.
• Develop and implement work schedules, ensuring optimal resource allocation and manpower.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other trades to ensure smooth operations and project integration.
• Enforce adherence to safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
• Conduct safety meetings, risk assessments, and ensure workers wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Identify potential hazards on-site and implement corrective measures to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Ensure the structural work meets the required quality and safety standards by inspecting work at various stages of construction.
• Verify that structural components are assembled correctly according to blueprints and engineering specifications.
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies in the construction process promptly.
• Material Management:
• Oversee the proper handling, storage, and use of materials, ensuring that sufficient supplies are available for the team.
• Manage material deliveries and ensure that the right quality and quantity are available at the right time.
• Inspect materials for quality and ensure they meet specifications before use in construction.
• Reporting and Documentation:
• Maintain daily logs, progress reports, and other documentation related to the project's progress, safety measures, and issues encountered.
• Report on labor, equipment, and material needs to the project manager or construction supervisor.
• Track and manage project timelines to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
• Work with the team to develop solutions to technical challenges that could impact
• Suggest and implement methods to improve productivity, cost-efficiency, and safety practices.
• Encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education : High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in construction management or structural engineering is advantageous.
• Experience : At least 5-10 years of experience in structural construction, with significant experience in leadership roles.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in a similar position within in UAE, or any GCC countries.
• Preferably High school degree or any related professional qualification in a similar field.
