Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Fabricator with basic pipe skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing various structural and pipe components. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabrication and Assembly : Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings to fabricate and assemble structural and pipe components.
• Cutting and Shaping : Use tools such as saws, grinders, and torches to cut, shape, and prepare materials for welding and assembly.
• Welding : Perform welding tasks using various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, arc welding) to join metal components.
• Inspection and Quality Control : Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications. Make necessary adjustments and repairs.
• Installation : Install fabricated components at job sites, ensuring proper alignment and fit.
• Safety Compliance : Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Maintenance : Maintain and repair tools and equipment used in fabrication and installation processes.

Basic Pipe Skills:

• Pipe Cutting and Preparation : Cut and prepare pipes to the required specifications using hand and power tools.
• Fitting and Assembly : Fit and assemble pipe sections and components using appropriate techniques and tools.
• Welding and Soldering : Perform welding and soldering tasks to join pipe sections and fittings securely.
• Pressure Testing : Conduct pressure tests on pipe systems to ensure integrity and leak-free performance.
• Reading Blueprints : Interpret and follow blueprints and technical drawings specific to pipe systems.

Qualifications:

• Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural fabrication and pipe fitting.
• Education : High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification in welding, fabrication, or a related field is preferred.
• Skills : Proficient in using fabrication tools and equipment. Strong welding skills. Basic knowledge of pipe fitting and installation.
• Physical Stamina : Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Attention to Detail : High level of precision and attention to detail in all work.
• Problem-Solving : Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication and installation issues.
• Communication : Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
