Job Title: Structural Fabricator

Job Type: Full time

Salary & benefits: 1700-AED to 1900-AED (Per month)+ Over Time+ Accommodations.

A Structural Fabricator is responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and installation of metal structures, such as beams, columns, and frames, which are used in construction projects like buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure. The role requires working with various metals, welding, cutting, and assembling components according to blueprints and engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpretation of Blueprints and Drawings:
• Study and understand construction blueprints, schematics, and specifications to determine the materials, tools, and methods required for the fabrication process.
• Material Preparation:
• Select and cut raw materials (steel, aluminum, or other metals) to the specified dimensions for assembly.
• Ensure the material is properly treated, cleaned, and stored before use.
• Fabrication and Assembly:
• Use welding machines, cutting torches, and other equipment to fabricate metal parts and assemble them into structural components.
• Ensure that all welded joints and fasteners are secure and meet quality standards.
• Perform structural and mechanical assembly work as required.
• Welding and Metalworking:
• Utilize different welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding to join metal pieces.
• Use cutting equipment (e.g., plasma cutters, saws) to trim and shape materials.
• Quality Control and Inspection:
• Conduct routine inspections and testing of fabricated components to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Ensure all work meets the required quality and safety specifications.
• Installation and Erection:
• Coordinate with other construction teams to transport and install fabricated components at construction sites.
• Use cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment to position large or heavy materials.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with heavy machinery and hazardous materials.
• Comply with OSHA standards and other relevant safety regulations.
• Maintenance of Tools and Equipment:
• Ensure all fabrication tools, machines, and equipment are well-maintained and safe to use.
• Report any faults or malfunctions promptly for repair.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with engineers, designers, and other construction professionals to ensure timely and accurate project completion.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements when necessary.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education : High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in welding, metal fabrication, or related field.
• Experience : Previous experience as a structural fabricator or in a similar role within the construction or manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Technical Skills :
• Proficiency in welding, cutting, and metalworking techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with various hand and power tools used in metal fabrication.
• Physical Requirements :
• Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs or more).
• Comfortable working in various outdoor conditions and in confined spaces.
• Certifications :
• Welding certifications (e.g., AWS, ASME) are a plus.
• Forklift, crane operation, or other machinery certifications may be required, Bottom of Form

Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in a similar position within in UAE, or any GCC countries.

Preferably High school degree or any related professional qualification in a similar field.
