Job Description

Summary of Duties

• Develop engineering skills to produce designs for tecom structures
• Develop manual design skills (calculations & sketches)
• Develop CADD skills using IT resources as available eg AutoCad, Mathcad, MsTower, MicroStran
• Liaise with authorities, customers & suppliers
• Interface between external &/or Senior Design Engineers and draughting team
• Review, check & approve drawings etc in accordance with Design Engineer's requirements and Engineering Dept. processes
• Assist draughting team to achieve operational and technical objectives and excellence.
• Assist draughting resource allocation, budget, schedule & delivery.
• Support Engineers & Managers throughout the Jaggard Group, eg assisting with design, development, production, inspection, tests/surveys, data collection, siteworks, etc.
• Manage release and archiving of Engineering Dept. documents
• Meet Customer requirements and expectations
• Identify opportunities and make recommendations for improving workflow efficiencies
• Recommend solutions to meet customer business needs
• Apply and monitor applicable Jaggard quality procedures
• Manage draughting team IT resource

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and other requirements

• Good (and improving) AutoCAD 3D Solid Modelling
• Good (and improving) structural detailing as it relates to lattice steel structures etc. for wireless telecoms infrastructure
• Good capability with general commercial software eg. Excel, Word, PDF, etc.
• Capable organizational abilities
• Meticulous attention to all aspects of CAD Engineering working (modelling/detailing/listing/recording/issuing/archiving/measuring etc.)
