Structural Engineer - Repair & Maintenance of Bridges

Abu Dhabi

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Structural Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to Supervise Repair and maintenance works of Substructures and steel bridge components .


What You'll Be Doing:

• Review the contractor's submittals which includes but is not limited to (i) Shop Drawings (ii)Technical Submittals (iii)Test Reports (iv) Progress Reports (v) Method of statements (vi) Documents Transmittals (vii) Materials Submittals, (viii) RFI's
• Perform site inspections, verify existing conditions during repair or maintenance, and provide construction support.
• Identifying all non-conforming works or materials, notifying the contractor and keeping a proper record.
• Following up corrective and preventive measure taken by the contractor.
• Monitor Progress and identify potential issues that may impact timelines or quality.
• Ensuring compliance of works to design requirements, specifications and project plan.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University with minimum of 10 years of experience.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in general in Maintenance of Structures.
• Experience of maintenance of steel bridges projects is essential.
• Must have a good knowledge about contractual relationships.
• Must be computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports.
