: Structural Engineer - Aluminum and Glass Industry

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Engineer with expertise in the aluminum and glass industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the installation of structural systems, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. This role involves collaboration with design teams, architects, contractors, and clients to deliver high-quality and innovative solutions for curtain walls, facades, windows, doors, and other architectural systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Analysis:
• Perform structural analysis and design of aluminum and glass systems, including facades, curtain walls, cladding, and glazing systems.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications (e.g., ASTM, AAMA, EN, or local building codes).
• Use advanced software such as AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro, ETABS, or similar tools for modeling and simulation.
• Project Collaboration:
• Work closely with architects, designers, and contractors to develop innovative and efficient structural solutions.
• Review architectural drawings and provide feedback on structural feasibility.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of engineering outputs.
• Material Selection:
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate aluminum alloys, glass types, and sealants based on structural and aesthetic requirements.
• Analyze environmental and load conditions to ensure material durability and performance.
• Quality Assurance:
• Conduct inspections and assessments of materials and construction sites to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Prepare detailed engineering calculations, reports, and technical documentation for client approval and regulatory submission.
• Problem-Solving and Optimization:
• Identify potential design or installation challenges and propose cost-effective and practical solutions.
• Optimize designs for weight, cost, and sustainability without compromising safety or performance.
• Compliance and Safety:
• Ensure all designs meet safety standards and legal requirements.
• Stay updated on the latest industry developments, technologies, and regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the aluminum and glass industry.
• Proficiency in design and analysis software such as AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of structural mechanics, material properties, and architectural systems.
• Knowledge of international and local building codes, standards, and practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent certification is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with large-scale commercial or residential facade projects.
• Familiarity with thermal performance and energy-efficient design.
• Expertise in curtain wall system fabrication and installation processes.
