Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer specializing in construction and steel works. The ideal candidate will design, analyze, and oversee the fabrication and installation of steel structures, ensuring their safety, functionality, and compliance with all industry standards and regulations. This role involves close collaboration with architects, fabricators, and construction teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

• Develop and analyze structural designs for steel-based projects, including buildings, industrial facilities, and other structures.
• Perform detailed load calculations, stress analysis, and material optimization for steel components.
• Select appropriate grades of steel and detailing methods to meet project specifications.
• Design connections, joints, and anchorage systems using industry standards and guidelines.
• Oversee the fabrication and installation of steel structures to ensure alignment with design specifications.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to integrate steel components seamlessly into overall project designs.
• Provide technical solutions to address challenges during fabrication and erection.
• Conduct site visits to inspect the assembly and alignment of steel structures during construction.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and quality control procedures.
• Coordinate with welding inspectors and fabricators to ensure adherence to welding and bolting standards.
• Prepare detailed material take-offs and cost estimates for steel components.
• Work with procurement teams to source materials that meet quality and budget requirements.
• Monitor the project's budget and timeline to minimize delays and cost overruns.
• Prepare and review structural drawings, steel detailing, shop drawings, and as-built documents.
• Generate reports and documentation for project stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure designs adhere to international and local standards such as AISC, Eurocode, or BS standards for steel construction.
• Stay updated on advancements in steel materials, fabrication technologies, and construction methods.
• Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
• Proven experience in structural engineering with a focus on steel structures and construction.
• Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, and steel erection processes.
• Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, STAAD. Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of steel design principles, connections, and detailing.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent certification (preferred).
• Knowledge of welding standards (AWS, ISO) and steel erection codes.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Salary:
Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
