We are looking for structural draughtsman to join our design team.
- As a Structural Draughtsman, your primary responsibility is to create detailed drawings, models, and specifications for structural components and assemblies used in construction projects. Working closely with engineers, architects, and construction teams, you will translate design concepts and specifications into precise technical drawings essential for fabrication, assembly, and installation.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar programs used for drafting and modelling.
- Create detailed steel fabrication drawings, including plans, elevations, and sections, in accordance with project specifications and engineering requirements.
- Develop structural joint details and connections for steel structures, ensuring integrity, efficiency, and compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Generate shop drawings for fabrication and construction, incorporating precise dimensions, material specifications, and assembly instructions.
- Prepare comprehensive as-built drawings to document changes made during the construction phase, accurately reflecting the final condition of the structure.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other team members to develop schedules and coordinate drawing submissions to meet project deadlines.
- Demonstrate proficiency in drawing presentation skills, producing clear, organized, and visually appealing drawings and presentations for client review and approval.
- Ensure drawings adhere to industry standards, codes, and best practices, implementing quality control measures to maintain accuracy and consistency.
- Stay updated on advancements in drafting technology, software, and building materials, continuously enhancing skills and knowledge to improve job performance.
- Participate in design meetings, providing technical expertise and contributing innovative ideas to optimize structural solutions and project outcomes.
