PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Structural Design Engineer will be responsible for developing structural designs and solutions for a variety of projects within the GCC region. This role involves working closely with architects, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure the integrity and performance of structures.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop detailed structural designs and calculations for buildings, bridges, and other structures.
Use structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP2000) to model and evaluate structural performance.
Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ACI, BS, Eurocodes).
Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate structural designs with overall project requirements.
Participate in project meetings and provide technical guidance on structural matters.
Coordinate with construction teams to ensure design intent is realized during the construction phase.
Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
Review and approve shop drawings, materials, and equipment submittals for compliance with design intent.
Conduct design reviews and quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Provide technical support during construction, including site visits and inspections.
Address and resolve any structural issues that arise during construction.
Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings and documentation
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. A Master\'s degree is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design engineering, preferably within the GCC region.
Strong proficiency in CSI design software (ETABS, SAP2000 and SAFE).
Good level in BIM/Revit.
Experience in the design of commercial projects.
Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, construction practices, and material properties
Design experience in both steel and concrete structures.
Good knowledge of American standards and Dubai regulations.
