Job Description

We are an Engineering Consultancy office located in Business Bay, Dubai and we are looking for a Structural Design Engineer with minimum 5 years of experience from an Engineering Consultancy in Dubai. Only proceed with the application if you meet the qualifications listed.

1. Structural Analysis and Design:

Conduct structural analysis and design of Villas, Towers, Warehouses, and other structures in compliance with UAE building codes, regulations, and standards.

Develop detailed structural calculations, drawings, and specifications using appropriate software and engineering principles.

Ensure structural designs are safe, efficient, and optimized for local environmental conditions and construction practices.

2. Project Management:

Manage structural engineering projects from inception to completion

Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met within specified timelines and budgets.

Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation measures to ensure successful project delivery.

3. Design Coordination and Review:

Collaborate with architectural and MEP design teams to integrate structural designs into overall project plans.

Review architectural and MEP drawings to ensure compatibility with structural requirements and constraints.

Coordinate with external consultants, authorities, and stakeholders to resolve design conflicts and ensure regulatory compliance.

4. Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC):

Implement QA/QC procedures to uphold the quality and integrity of structural designs and construction documents.

Review structural drawings, calculations, and specifications to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements and standards and promote adequate value engineering principles.

Conduct peer reviews and technical audits to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure adherence to best practices.

5. Technical Leadership and Mentorship:

Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and designers, fostering their professional development and growth.

Serve as a subject matter expert on structural engineering matters, offering expertise and innovative solutions to project teams and clients.

Stay updated with advancements in structural engineering technology, materials, and construction methods relevant to the UAE context.

6. Authority Compliance :

To liaise with authorities ( DM, DDA, Trakhees ) for structural submission and attend meetings to clarify design queries enabling to get the required NOC/ Approvals.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's / Masters degree in Structural / Civil Engineering with a specialization in structures from a reputable institution.

2. Dubai Municipality License is advantageous. Unlimited will be desirable.

4. Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in structural engineering

5. Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, PROKON, SAFE, TEKLA, STAAD, and other recent software's widely used for structures.

6. In-depth knowledge of UAE building codes, regulations, and design standards.

7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative and practical solutions to complex structural challenges.

8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

9. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying abreast of industry trends and advancements in structural engineering practices relevant to the UAE.

10. Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are advantageous for communicating with local stakeholders and authorities

11. UAE Driving license
