The fund is expanding rapidly and presents an opportunity to contribute to the platform\'s growth by supporting origination of investment and partnership opportunities. This role demands strong origination skills, focusing on identifying and enhancing partnerships to facilitate future investment prospects. As a pivotal player in their initial growth phase, you will unlock significant development opportunities, leveraging the impact of climate-focused investing. What the job involves
- Support on the identification and origination of investment opportunities within climate-focused initiatives in emerging markets globally
- Develop and enhance strategic partnerships to drive future investment prospects
- Conduct mapping exercises to develop strategies for targeting investments where they can have the most impact and are most needed
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of investment proposals to the investment committee and board
- Master\'s degree in economics, finance or related discipline
- Background in financial services such as private equity, investment banking, or project finance, especially in emerging markets
- In-depth understanding of climate or energy sectors, including knowledge of industry trends, regulatory environments, and key challenges and opportunities within these fields
- Familiarity with financial instruments used by development finance institutions and multilateral development banks
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships, and create effective partnerships across diverse stakeholders
