Job Summary:
The Storekeeper is responsible for managing and maintaining the inventory of aluminum products and materials. This role involves receiving, storing, and issuing materials, ensuring accurate inventory records, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inventory Management:
• Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions.
• Conduct regular physical inventory checks and reconcile with records.
• Update inventory management system with all relevant data.
• Receiving and Inspection:
• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
• Verify quantities and condition of materials received.
• Report any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate authorities.
• Storage and Organization:
• Ensure proper storage of materials in designated locations.
• Organize and label materials for easy identification and access.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse.
• Issuing Materials:
• Prepare and issue materials to production or other departments as requested.
• Ensure accurate documentation of all issued materials.
• Monitor stock levels and reorder materials as needed.
• Record Keeping:
• Maintain up-to-date records of all inventory transactions.
• Generate reports on inventory levels, usage, and discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Report any safety hazards or incidents to the Warehouse Manager.
• Equipment and Tools:
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
• Perform regular maintenance checks on equipment.
• Ensure tools and equipment are stored properly and are in good working condition.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with other departments to meet their material needs.
• Assist in training new staff members.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a storekeeper or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:

• May require standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods
