Job Description

To efficiently manage the receipt, inspection, documentation, and storage of materials and supplies required for interior fit-out works. The Storekeeper ensures accurate GRN (Goods Receipt Note) processing, stock control, and coordination with procurement, suppliers, and project execution teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Material Receiving & GRN Processing

Receive materials delivered to the site or warehouse. Inspect goods for quantity, quality, and compliance with purchase orders (PO). Prepare and issue Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) accurately and on time. Report any damages, shortages, or excess deliveries to the Procurement/Project Manager.

Documentation & Record-Keeping

Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all incoming materials. Ensure proper filing of GRNs, delivery notes, and related documents (manual/digital). Assist in the reconciliation of materials with the procurement system.

Inventory Management

Organize and maintain physical stock according to categories. Ensure materials are stored in a safe, clean, and accessible manner. Regularly update stock registers/logs and monitor stock levels. Conduct physical stock verification and report discrepancies.

Coordination & Communication

Coordinate with procurement, site supervisors, and suppliers for smooth delivery and receiving operations. Support project teams by issuing materials based on approved material request slips (MRS). Notify the procurement team in case of low stock or critical materials.

Compliance & Safety

Ensure materials are handled and stored as per safety standards. Follow company policies related to store and inventory management.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

High School Diploma or ITI; diploma in Store Management/Inventory Control is a plus. 2 years of relevant experience in interior fit-out, construction, or joinery industry. Knowledge of GRN processes, PO documentation, and inventory control systems. Familiarity with fit-out materials like plywood, MDF, laminates, paints, hardware, etc. Basic computer skills (MS Excel, inventory software, ERP systems preferred).
