The Storekeeper is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Key Responsibilities: Inventory Management: Receive, inspect, and record incoming deliveries. Organize and store goods in designated locations. Maintain accurate inventory records using manual or computerized systems. Conduct regular stock checks and audits to ensure inventory accuracy. Monitor stock levels and report any discrepancies or shortages. Stock Handling: Ensure proper handling and storage of goods to prevent damage or spoilage. Label and catalog items appropriately for easy identification and retrieval. Pack, label, and prepare goods for dispatch according to company standards. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain updated records of all stock movements, including receipts, issues, and transfers. Prepare and submit regular inventory reports to management. Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and filed appropriately. Coordination and Communication: Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and transport companies for deliveries and shipments. Liaise with other departments to fulfill their inventory requirements. Communicate any stock issues or concerns to the relevant personnel promptly. Safety and Compliance: Ensure the store area is clean, organized, and free from hazards. Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies. Implement and enforce proper security measures to protect stock. Miscellaneous Duties: Assist with periodic physical inventory counts. Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, if required. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager. Qualifications and Skills: High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a storekeeper or in a similar role. Familiarity with inventory management software and systems. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Basic math and computer skills. Physical ability to lift and move heavy items. Additional Requirements: Knowledge of UAE labor laws and regulations related to inventory management is a plus. Valid UAE driving license (if required for the role). Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if necessary.
