Job Summary:
The Store Manager at Circle K is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, efficient store management, and profitability. This role involves managing staff, maintaining store standards, handling inventory, Weekly Expiry Checking, Product knowledge, and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Management:
Oversee all store operations to ensure efficiency and profitability.
Maintain high standards of store presentation, cleanliness, and product availability.
Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
2. Staff Management:
Motivate, train, and supervise store employees.
Schedule staff shifts and manage time-off requests to ensure adequate staffing levels.
Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement development plans.
3. Customer Service:
Ensure a high level of customer service is always provided.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and promptly.
Promote a customer-focused culture among staff.
4. Expiry Knowledge:
Have knowledge of expiry items and products on selling area and store back area.
Stock Rotation implements a FIFO system to minimize products expiring on the shelves.
7 days Expiry policy.
Train staff to recognize and handle expired products properly.
Record Keeping of expired products for inventory management and loss prevention.
5. Products Knowledge:
Have a strong understanding and knowledge of items.
Ensure all staff are knowledgeable about the products.
Products up to date, stay informed about new products and updates to existing products from supplier.
6. Promotions and Discounts:
Inform staff about current promotions and discounts to effectively communicate to the customers.
7. Suppliers Knowledge:
Make sure the product order LPO and the provided the items are same.
Have a good relationship with suppliers.
8. Inventory and Merchandising:
Manage inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and ensure accurate ordering.
Implement merchandising strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
Ensure all products are correctly priced and displayed.
9. Financial Management:
Monitor store performance against budget and sales targets.
Manage cash handling procedures, including bank deposits and reconciliation.
Implement strategies to control costs and maximize profitability.
10. Safety and Security:
Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and customers.
Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including health and safety regulations.
Respond to and manage any emergency situations in the store.
11. Marketing and Promotions:
Implement and oversee in-store promotions and marketing campaigns.
Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
Foster relationships with the local community to drive store traffic.
Qualifications:
. F&B Background will be preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience in retail management, preferably in a convenience store setting.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in inventory management and financial analysis.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry items.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, stooping, and reaching.
